When we speak of values and traditions, it is never constant. What is accepted and followed today will not be so tomorrow, or even in another location. Acceptable is a variable dependant on many factors. But then again, such inconsistency in this matter was not observable some time back. Values were more constant and reliable in the olden days. Changes if at all it did happen did so over a period of time spanning more than one's life time. Today, radical thinking and concepts of modernism are playing the role of a catalyst in the evolution or destruction of values and beliefs.
So now here is the question : is the changing value system a modified and better equiped one to its predecessor, or is it just a porthole of escaping from the truth, that might restrain our freedom of actions. True some values of yesteryears no longer hole relevant in our modern dynamic world, but it is vital to understand that these came up over along time of human evolution. As a complex society, these are vital to proper conduct of ourselves in respect to the 'society' that we are a part of.
I am putting foward no defined facts or truths, i am just pondering over a topic that has undergone so much change and has been tampered with lately. So if any of you readers have something to say of feel differently do share it. It would be nice to see a subject in 3-D.
